| Mandos is well known for being a slow, generally small, crumbly, non-tubular wave, and it is ... but I'll take any day on a wave, as long as the reef isn't taking a bite out of me. Fun overcast morning with Irene and Carl. |
... and then the sun came out!
Before the funk zone got gentrified, with hotels and wine bars, it really was funky, as the poster for a 2011 gig illustrates. Our Bunnyhead rehearsal space was literally across the street from the Marborg waste treatment facility. Not to wax boho-snobbish: there's nothing inherently wrong with a wine bar, but I'll take the fine nose of a good sewage plant any day. |
